Thank you for visiting the Department of Yoga. My name is Amy and I’m an experienced, British Wheel of Yoga-trained teacher (and a BACP-registered trainee Counsellor) offering group and private yoga classes in the South Hams.
They are profound and practical 'manuals for living' that also help us on an emotional, psychological, social and spiritual level. I strongly believe that there are few difficult aspects of the human condition that can't be helped with some regular yoga.
I don't teach 'a one-size fits all' approach. Each student is unique - and each student is encouraged as the leading expert on their own body and mind.
I aim to make all sessions friendly, inclusive, challenging, reflective and fun and above all to help students build a good working (and evolving) knowledge of the kind of practice that best works for them.
I'm a British Wheel of Yoga-trained teacher and also a trainee Counsellor (BACP).
I qualified in London in 2012 with a 500hr teaching diploma and it has been my privilege to teach thousands of classes in studio, university and private settings ever since.
